Kentucky Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Forces

The fight against drugs requires coordination and cooperation of all levels. The development of the Commonwealth's strategy for statewide drug control and violent crime prevention includes the participation of federal, state, and local criminal justice agencies. The Justice and Public Safety Cabinet is charged with increasing coordination among the criminal justice, treatment and education systems to achieve a comprehensive and effective approach to drug control, and violent crime prevention. Multi-jurisdictional and interagency activities that result in increased coordination and cooperation among criminal justice agencies are a priority of the Kentucky Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Forces as well as disrupt and dismantle mid- to upper-level drug trafficking organizations.
