DEA National Takeback  
The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Days were Saturday, April 22, 2023​ and October 28, 2023  from 10:00am - 2:00pm,  to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating ​the general public ​about the potential for abuse of medications. 

DEA and Team Kentucky are committed to making our communities safer and healthier, and encourage the public to remove unneeded medications from their homes as a measure of preventing medication misuse and opioid addiction from ever starting.

In National Take Back 1-24, Kentucky has collected a total of 2246,467  pounds of unused and/or unwanted prescription medications at all Drug Take Back ​​​events and locations since October 2011.                             take back totals.PNG
